Noonday Creek Trail is a very short but pretty path! It spans a short 7.5 miles one way with the trailhead located in Marietta, GA, just 30 min away from Atlanta.

What can I see on Noonday Creek Trail?

Even in the short distance, there are two very distinct parts of the trail. One is nature rich with tons of greenery and fresh air. The second is rich with car honking and gas fumes. The trail flips between the two constantly making my emotions during the ride jump between “damn this is awesome!” to “omg get me out of here”.

There is a paved trail next to the road, so no need to worry about avoiding cars other than crosswalks and driveways. However, my main concern was how loud these road sections were. You really only hear cars zooming past you.

Once you turn into the nature areas, you barely hear any cars and only hear leaves rustling. I very much enjoyed the nature part of this trail! I think it’s definitely worth checking out for the short but enjoyable nature.

There are many crossings under highway bridges which were loud but very enjoyable to see. I personally like seeing these structures!

YouTube video for when I went for this ride!

The trail barely has anyone on it, especially after getting to the first segment near the road. So you can really get some speed and zoom through the road segments.

There were a few turns that were difficult to see. I did miss one turn. However, you’ll simply be riding on sidewalk, not the road, so nothing to fear.
